I would like to simply say thank-you to everyone who has been responding to the Liquorice Dreams sale by 1000 Flowers! The outpouring of encouragement and support has been absolutely wonderful and very touching. You are all making a huge contribution in bringing this project to fruition.
As well, I have been hearing from other entrepreneurs who are struggling to make ends meet. Being self-employed is often deeply challenging- and although it’s crucial to work non-stop to source as much guidance and resources as possible to make a go of it…. really, it’s the Passion and Optimism that will get us through. But even more importantly, it takes a culture that is aware of the power they hold with their money, and who choose to buy from and support small business in general. The big corps have enough money already! So instead of ‘buy nothing days’ etc, how about always exchanging our earnings for items created/grown by small enterprises? This is one way to change the world and create economic health for the people by the people. Thanks again for choosing to support 1000 Flowers!
Lots of love,
Jessica September Buchanan
A natural perfume- rich with jasmine, orange flower, osmanthus, oleander, opoponax resin and labdanum. (in the 1000 Flowers boutique soon)
Jessica, please email me when Narcotic Flowers is ready to sell. I’m ready!
Best of luck,
Zee Boudreaux
Thank you Zee… I sure will…. see you in Grasse one day soon I hope. xoxo
I am eagerly anticipating my Reglisse Noire after reading all of the accolades. However, Narcotic Flowers sounds absolutely lovely! Is it 100% natural? When will it make it’s debut? Is the dominant floral note Jasmine? I love orange flower/orange blossom scents so I think I would enjoy this.
Hello Brigitte. Yes, Narcotic Flowers is all-natural.. and it is actually available, I simply have not had a moment to add it to my online boutique. The notes are not dominated so much by jasmine, as by a blend of florals that are rich and sweet. (including fruit notes of apricot from osmanthus absulute) It was inspired by the scents of blooming orange blossom and jasmine that escape walled gardens in the centre or the city here in Grasse. There is also a high percentage of tinctured opoponax resin and absinthe essential oil….. so it has a herbal liqueur note. People have told me they want to drink it…. 🙂 xo
I am also eagerly anticipating my Reglisse Noire and my Fleur No.1. I’m hoping the RN will work with my chemistry and be my new signature autumn scent. The Fleur, perhaps, will be put aside for sunnier days (or maybe winter days that call for a bit of sun?). Meanwhile, I love the inspiration for your newest scent, for I have seen the walled gardens of Grasse on our last holiday to Antibes, and love the idea of capturing a little memory in a bottle for safekeeping. Isn’t that one of the wonderful things about fragrance? How it evokes memory?
Hello,
Your order is just about in its way… there has been a bit of a backlog to process all the orders that came in such a short time. But yes- I agree wholeheartedly about the wonder of perfume evoking memory, and giving us the chance to relive times and places. It’s also amazing to create perfume through telling stories of places and impressions… then I get to immerse in that feeling, and explore it fully to bring it into a scent complex. It’s quite the adventure. 🙂 Hope you’re having a lovely week! xo
I just received a sample of Reglisse Noire yesterday! I splashed it on this morning and I have to say I am enamored with this intriguing scent. My first impression is that it suits me. Trying it out for a few more days and then I’ll probably order it! Best of luck with your endeavors. You have my support, for sure!
Thank you Erin! Happy to hear that you love Reglisse! And I really appreciate your words of encouragement! All the best out there too! xo
